The Meaning of a Tribal Future

I woke up one day with a nagging feeling that the world around me was wrong.  I could either continue walking forward like a blind sheep towards whatever yawning chasm stood at my feet, or I could open my eyes.  If you have never once sat down, and applied every conviction you have to a centrifuge of inspection, you should.  False underpinnings will be washed away, and those convictions that remain will never again be subject to doubt or indecision.

I have become convinced that although this is the single greatest country on earth, we are headed for a calamity.  Not tomorrow, not next week, but it creeps towards us just the same.  If we don’t change and adapt, we will be swept away by the tide.  Its no longer about how we can save the country.  Its about how we can build up a tribe around ourselves to allow us to thrive.  We have become too big to succeed as a nation, and we will be sundered one man from another, if we don’t change.

This is a catalog of my journey forward into this belief.  I believe what I know about food is wrong.  I believe what we know about the economy is wrong.  I believe what we know about life, is wrong.  I catalog my journey so that I can look back and learn.  I hope that my flailing will cause you to examine yourselves as well.
